The Leaves Workshop Series will open with a focus on annual leaves that education employees are entitled to from the Education and Labor Code and state law that come up commonly at the start of each new school year.

Schools Legal Service will present a two-hour workshop designed to provide mandatory sexual harassment and abusive conduct prevention training for your supervisory employees.
A Certificate of Attendance will be provided to each participant who completes the training.

The second session will dive into the state and federal rules and regulations related to family medical leave. We will discuss the specific requirements LEAs must follow and work through examples of hypothetical leave scenarios involving medical leave that overlap with other leave entitlements discussed during the first workshop.

2026 Leave Law Workshop Series: Part 3
While there are rules and regulations that LEAs must follow in providing pregnancy disability leave, no two pregnancy disability leaves are the same. The third session will cover the leave entitlements pregnant employees have during and immediately following pregnancy, including expanded reasonable accommodation rights under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, as well as child bonding leave entitlements available to parents.
