Sexual Harassment trainings

Schools Legal Service is again providing mandatory Sexual Harassment training for all supervisory employees. Government Code section 12950.1 provides that public sector employers must provide all supervisory employees with at least two hours of sexual harassment training and education. This training must be provided at least once every two years to all current supervisory personnel and to all new supervisory personnel withing six months of their assumption of a supervisory position. To assist our clients in meeting their requirement, School Legal Service will provide the required training and education on the following dates:

Sexual Harassment Prevention and Response Training: (For non-supervisory employees) This one-hour video training presentation by attorneys Melissa Brown and Kelly Lazerson is designed to educate non-supervisory employees on the issues of prohibited sexual harassment and abusive conduct (bullying). Included with the video is a CD which contains training tips for the facilitator, a preliminary quiz and answer key, along with sample sign-in sheet and handout materials for the attendees. (This video does not replace the certified, two-hour interactive training required for supervisors.)
