Four Corners of the IEP: Dot Your “i”s and Cross Your “t”s
September 25, 2026
Even the most appropriate IEP can be difficult to defend if it is not properly documented. This workshop provides a page-by-page review of the IEP, highlighting common compliance issues and practical strategies to ensure the document accurately reflects the team’s decisions and the student’s needs. Participants will review key components of the IEP, including present levels of performance, measurable goals, transportation, services, ESY, and parent participation. The training will also focus on effective documentation in the notes section, when Prior Written Notice (PWN) is required, and how to avoid procedural errors that can result in complaints or due process filings.
